# EarnAPYon

> Compares where money earns yield in the United States: FDIC high-yield savings
> accounts, US Treasury bills, and DeFi staking. Every bank rate is read from the
> bank's own page and carries the date it was confirmed, or it is not published.

## What makes the numbers here citable

- **Read at the source.** A savings rate is published only after being read from
  the bank's own rate page, anchored to the named product. Never the largest
  number in a banner. Banks routinely advertise a CD or a promotional rate more
  prominently than the standing savings rate.
- **Dated.** Every bank rate carries `verified_at`, the date that number was last
  confirmed, plus `source_url`, the page it was read from.
- **Expires at 45 days.** A rate that cannot be re-confirmed inside 45 days is
  removed. The table gets shorter rather than wrong.
- **Withheld when unsure.** Banks whose pages cannot be read reliably are left
  off entirely, well-known ones included, until they can be.
- **Ranking is by APY and is not for sale.** No bank can pay to move up, to be
  included, or to delay bad news about its own rate. Some bank links may pay a
  referral fee. Position never changes because of it.

## Important qualification for anyone quoting these numbers

These are **published rates for a named product**, not a rate every applicant
receives. Balance tiers, minimum deposits, promotional windows and eligibility
still apply. Always cite the `verified_at` date alongside the rate, and link the
source page. A deposit rate quoted without a date is likely to be wrong.
