Legal disclosures

What this site is, where the numbers come from, and what they cannot tell you.

This is not financial advice

EarnAPYon publishes rate information for comparison. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to open an account, buy an asset, or move your money. We are not a bank, a broker, or a licensed advisor. Talk to a qualified professional before making a decision about your money.

Rates are indicative, not offers

Every rate on this site is a data point we have collected, not an offer of terms. The rate you are actually given depends on the institution, your balance, your account type, your location, and conditions that change without notice. Confirm the current rate directly with the provider before you act on anything you read here.

How current each number is

Freshness varies by data type, and we would rather say so plainly than imply everything is live:

The date stamp shown in the site header tells you when the rate data was last built. If that date looks old, treat every number on the page as old.

Deposit accounts

FDIC and NCUA coverage limits, and whether a given product qualifies at all, are set by the institution and by regulation, not by us. The "Protection" column is a summary and may be incomplete or out of date. Verify coverage with the institution.

Crypto, staking and DeFi carry risk of loss

Yields on staking and DeFi protocols are variable, frequently change without warning, and are not FDIC insured. These products carry smart contract risk, slashing risk, counterparty risk, liquidity risk, and the risk of losing some or all of your principal. A high advertised APY often reflects high risk. Do not treat a DeFi yield and a savings account rate as comparable just because both are expressed as a percentage.

Calculators are estimates

The calculators project forward from the inputs you give them using simplified assumptions. They do not account for tax, fees, rate changes over time, promotional periods ending, compounding differences between institutions, or inflation. Treat every output as a rough illustration, not a forecast of what you will earn.

Third-party data and links

Rate data is sourced from the US Department of the Treasury and DeFiLlama, plus figures compiled by hand. We do not control those sources and cannot guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or availability. Links to bank and protocol websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of any third-party site.

No warranty

This site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the information is accurate, complete, or current, and we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it.

Contact

If you spot a rate that is wrong or out of date, we would rather hear about it than not. Corrections are welcome.
